The Brashear Tigers played their season home opener Friday, taking a pair of wins from North Shelby. North Shelby got on the scoreboard with a run in the top of the 1st, but Brashear scored 3 in the 1st, 3 in the 2nd, 3 in the 3rd, and 4 in the 5th on their way to a 13-6 win. Brandon Jochimsen homered twice and Quin Allen also homered for the Tigers. Jochimsen was 4 for 4 at the plate, Garrett Housman was 4 for 5, Austin Peterson was 3 for 4, Quin Allen was 2 for 3, Brhet Place was 2 for 4, with Lane Stutsman and Aden Zentz also having hits. Jochimsen got the start on the mound going 4 innings and striking out 7. Colton Sayre pitched in relief. The Tigers also won the JV contest 6-5.
